We are in the process of remodeling and updating all of our kennels including a brand new nursery/whelping room. Our new nursery is fully insulated, heated and cooled with night vision cameras installed so that mother and pups can be observed and monitored at all times. Our nursery also contains a "Germ Guardian" true HEPA filter, UV-C sanitizer air purifier and digital scales to monitor puppies weight. The whelping area contains a doggie door so mother can step outside for a breath of fresh air and a rest away from the litter as she desires. The safety, comfort, health and overall well being of our litters as well as all of our dogs are our top priority.
Brand new kennel runs are being installed soon as well, accompanied by a new automatic watering system to ensure continuous fresh cool water delivered to each kennel at all times. Pictures and more information will posted very soon !
Our kennels are cleaned several times daily of waste. In addition, every 3-4 days our kennels are completely sanitized, deodorized and disinfected using the WYSIWASH sanitizing system. WYSIWASH is Calcium Hypochlorite based...NOT Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach). The strength of germ killing chlorine without the harshness of bleach. The WYSIWASH system is scientifically designed to deliver a consistent amount of Calcium Hypochlorite which has been shown to be effective against Parvovirus, Distemper, Coronavirus and Giardia as well as many strains of Influenza, MRSA, E. Coli, Salmonella, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus. WYSIWASH is a pet safe and biodegradable alternative to traditional disinfectants. WYSIWASH kills odor causing bacteria stopping the typical "kennel" or "dog smell" and is an industry trusted kennel cleaner to keep our animals healthy.
Our kennel runs are located on a 12x30 concrete slab surrounded by a misting system consisting of over 60 feet of tubing and 20 misters. The Rottweilers thick double coat can make them susceptible to overheating in warm climates. Once the outside temperature reaches 85-90 degrees we enable the misters to keep the dogs, the surrounding air and the kennel floors damp and cool. This along with the metal canopy covering our kennels protect our Rottweilers from the sun, rain and inclement weather and can lower the temperature 15-20 degrees on hot summer days.
